Our Charity Patron

Steve Borthwick Charity Patron

Steve Borthwick - Captain of England & Saracens.
Steve has fantastically agreed to become the patron of the Richard Thomas Leukaemia Fund(RTLF) and will add strength to the committed fundraisers by offering to be part of your fundraising campaign. Steve made a guest appearance earlier in September 2011 at the annual Golf Day and was suitably impressed by the work carried out by the supporters of the RTLF and as a result has chosen to become involved. It is with our great thanks that Steve is welcomed to the 'family'. More about Steve »

More info about the charity

How the charity helps fight Leukaemia.
The charity helps fight Leukaemia. The charity was set up in memory of Richard Thomas, a talented sportsman, who died at 22 from this dreadful disease. Our aim is to raise money to fund research into Leukaemia. The charity raises money to support the work carried out by the haematology department at Northwick Park Hospital. The money raised funds a full time researcher to provide vital equipment to help patients with this disease and also supports the families of those suffering with a place to stay in the hospital whilst caring for those close to them.
